The exploits of left fielder Kelly Drijver helped the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeat the Atlantic City Sonics, 4-2. Drijver was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. Wally Wilkerson, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Jack Ward nailed down his 3rd save.

Ft. Polk South took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Peter Agulera stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Thunder Hawks.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Atlantic City manager Yoshifumi Kamuta.

With the win, the Thunder Hawks have a record of 23-27.
