Seawolves Get 5-4 Win Versus Virginia Beach
|
It was a good time at Ballpark of Remsen, where fans came to watch the Virginia Beach Deuces and Long Island Seawolves get after it.
The Long Island Seawolves eeked out a 5-4 win versus the Virginia Beach Deuces at Ballpark of Remsen. Nobody did more than pitcher Alonso Martínez, who captured player of the game honors. With the win, Long Island goes to 28-20, while the Deuces fall to 23-25.
Also playing a key role was Fernando Pineda. The Long Island pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, Pineda was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Good to pick up this win," Martínez said.
