Manuel 'Lights Out' in Richland Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Richland Rails and the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, pitcher Paco Manuel was superb. The Richland right-hander was named the player of the game in Richland's 1-0 win. Russ Melton recorded the save for Richland, his 7th of the season. Ft. Polk South, at 19-23, has lost 6 straight.
Manuel, who dominated for Richland, earned the victory to move to 3-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 10. Ft. Polk South batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
