Laurel Helps Herons Beat Rawhides
|
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Arsenio Laurel, the Glendale Herons defeated the Belvedere Park Rawhides, 6-1. Laurel was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Herons. Glendale currently is in 10th place in the Menard's AA at 10-17.
Laurel contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Glendale in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Laurel took a fastball from Antenor Elizalde and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Herons to leap in front, 3-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Laurel told the Glendale Herald.
