Ghosts Get 6-4 Win Versus Myrtle Beach
|
The Casper Ghosts and Myrtle Beach Mermen obliged those fans who came to Tennille Grounds hoping for an exciting game.
Casper Ghosts starter José Vega turned in a competent performance against the Myrtle Beach Mermen at Tennille Grounds. Vega went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-2. Anthony Snyder, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
In the top of the second, Casper shortstop Warner Robinson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two outs, Robinson stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Casper. For the game, he was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Robinson.
With the win over Myrtle Beach, the Ghosts improved to 14-13.
