Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Seawolves
|
The Seawolves had to overcome a fine effort from Atlantic City pitcher Elroy Thompkins to grab a 2-1 win at Ballpark of Remsen. Thompkins went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Long Island Seawolves have an impressive 16-9 record.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Long Island trailing 1-0, Sheldon Deshotels hit a fastball from Alfredo Muñóz to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Seawolves had a walk-off win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Deshotels said.
