Ft. Polk South rode a good effort from starter Louis McDowell to beat the Springfield Shooters at Springfield Stadium. The final score was 7-2. McDowell picked up the win for Ft. Polk South, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. Gil Reeves recorded the save for Ft. Polk South, his 1st of the season.
