In a close game at Tennille Grounds, the Richland Rails edged the Myrtle Beach Mermen, 5-2. Richland designated hitter Michael Bradshaw earned the nod as player of the game after he was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Richland starter Juan Ordóñez was credited with the win after throwing 93 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Richland, now 5-3, has played well in the early going.
