Week's Top Player: Chesapeake's McCloud Monday, August 24th, 2026 So far in his young career, Lionel McCloud has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Chesapeake Continentals shortstop hit at a torrid .571 clip as he collected 12 hits in 21 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. McCloud is hitting .279 this year with 3 home runs and 38 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .346, 29 walks and scored 37 times. |
