Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Rapiers
The Rapiers had to overcome a fine performance from San Antonio pitcher Michael Taylor to grab a 5-4 win at Rapiers Ballpark. Taylor went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Durham reliever Dave Seals was the winner. His record is now 1-3. The losing pitcher was Jamie Scott. The 4th-place BC have dropped 7 straight games.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Durham trailing 4-3, Sean Godron hit a sinker from Jamie Scott to left for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Rapiers had a walk-off win.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Juan Sánchez. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
