Continentals Lose to Miners in Walk Off
The Miners grabbed a 1-0 win at Marquette Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Chesapeake pitcher Carlos Medina. Medina went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Marquette reliever Addick Lubbers picked up the win, upping his record to 7-3. Obadiah Small was saddled with the loss. The Continentals, now 43-52, have lost 4 straight.

Dale Miller was the walk-off hero for Marquette. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Marquette pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Miller said.
