Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Farmers
Farmers Field was the site of a competitive game between the Chesapeake Continentals and Lancaster Farmers.

The Farmers faced a stiff challenge from Chesapeake pitcher Javier Mena, but persevered to claim a win at Farmers Field. The final score was 4-3. Mena went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Lancaster reliever Raúl Nieto picked up the win, upping his record to 7-6. Fabian Thul absorbed the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Lancaster shortstop Augusto Encarnación, facing Fabian Thul, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Farmers the 4-3 win.

"I like what I saw today," said Lancaster manager Jack Barnes, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

The Farmers move to 43-50 with the win, while the Continentals drop to 43-50.
