Wang Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Lancaster in Walk-Off Win
|
The Lancaster Farmers electrified Farmers Field with a thrilling, walk-off win.
In a low-scoring contest between the Lancaster Farmers and the Chesapeake Continentals, pitcher Paco Peña was at the top of his game. The Lancaster right-hander was named the player of the game in Lancaster's 1-0 win. Lancaster's record now stands at 42-50, placing them 7th in the Silver AA.
Wu-shiun Wang was the walk-off hero for Lancaster. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Lancaster second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Peña said.
