Rapiers Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Casper
|
Durham starter Mack MacDonald had a strong outing against the Casper Ghosts at The Graveyard. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-4 win. MacDonald, now 14-6, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. The Rapiers improve their record to 51-41 with the win over Casper.
Vitoria, Spain-born Gilberto Juárez came through in the clutch. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Rapiers trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run to left to put Durham on top.
"What we get, we earn," Juárez told the Durham Daily News.
