Farmers Lose Again, 2-0
|
The Casper Ghosts got a strong performance from pitcher Valentín Robles, who stymied the Lancaster offense en route to a 2-0 win at Farmers Field. Robles, now 3-9, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. The slumping Farmers have lost 6 straight.
Henry Appleby went 1-1 with 2 walks for Casper. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. That's when he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Stewart Fleming. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"We did just enough to win," said Robles.
