BC Shut Out Rapiers
|
San Antonio played host to Durham at the friendly confines of San Antonio Field.
Durham had no answer for San Antonio BC starter Ángel Pérez, who flummoxed Rapiers hitters as the BC cruised to a 7-0 victory. In 6.2 innings, Pérez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed no runs.
Also contributing to the win was second baseman Anastasio Delgadilo, who stroked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third for San Antonio. For the game, Delgadilo was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Delgadilo told the San Antonio Observer.
The BC' win now puts them at 28-47.
