Ghosts Pin 6-2 Loss on Atoms
|
The Casper Ghosts got a stellar performance from pitcher Earl Simmons, who handcuffed the Bethesda offense en route to a 6-2 win at Atoms Field. In 7.2 innings, Simmons surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The Ghosts sit in last place in the Silver AA with a record of 25-49.
Casper took control in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Warner Robinson hit a 2-run double to make it 4-2, Ghosts.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Robinson.
