Rapiers Topple BC as Canales Shines
|
The Durham Rapiers bested the San Antonio BC, 11-4, at San Antonio Field. Miguel Canales was named player of the game. He was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The Rapiers improved to 41-32.
Canales came through with some timely hitting for Durham. With the score 2-0 in the top of the second and two down, Canales hit a 1-1 fastball for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season -- and a big reason the Rapiers managed to win.
"I like our moxie," said Durham Rapiers manager Brody Roberts.
