Blue Sox Suffer 8-5 Setback

The Chesapeake Continentals topped the Irving Blue Sox, 8-5, in USSL Double A action at Chesapeake Grounds. The player of the game was Chesapeake pitcher Dave Stephenson. Fabian Thul recorded the save for Chesapeake, his 10th of the season. With the win, Chesapeake goes to 33-34, while the Blue Sox fall to 42-25.
Lionel McCloud was a key contributor to the win for the Continentals. In the bottom of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to center. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
