Janssens Lifts Continentals to Win
"Getting ahead of the hitters is the key," said Janssens.

Chesapeake rode a good effort from starter Maxime Janssens to beat the Bethesda Atoms at Atoms Field. The final score was 5-1. The Continentals saw their win-loss record go to 30-27. At the same time, the Atoms fall to 26-31.

Janssens, who was born in Aarschot, Belgium, threw 90 pitches over 9 innings, while allowing 1 earned run.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Chesapeake manager José Flores. "Our pregame was pretty good."
