Behind a solid performance from catcher Christian Hoover, the Chesapeake Continentals defeated the Durham Rapiers, 10-2. Hoover was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Continentals. Chesapeake, at 22-22, sits in 6th place in the Silver AA.

When the Continentals needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Hoover who delivered. Facing Durham pitcher Guillermo Lemus the bottom of the first with the bases loaded, Hoover hit his 1st home run of the year. It made the score 6-0.

"Getting the win feels pretty nice," said Hoover. "More importantly, I had a good game."
