BC Get Past Durham for 5-3 Win
|
The BC grabbed a 5-3 win at Rapiers Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Durham pitcher Francisco Martínez. Martínez went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. With the victory, the BC record now stands at 13-22.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Earl Wiley hit a full count fastball from Jim Unknown for a 2-run single. It put San Antonio in front, 5-3.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Durham manager Brody Roberts.
