The Lancaster Farmers got a stellar performance from pitcher Stewart Fleming, who handcuffed the Marquette offense en route to a 5-2 win at Marquette Stadium. Lancaster now sits at 16-19, while Marquette falls to 18-17.
Enrico Mejía helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to give Lancaster a 2-0 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Mejía told the Lancaster Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
