Fans who gathered at San Antonio Field saw a good contest between the Chesapeake Continentals and San Antonio BC.
Chesapeake Continentals starter Javier Mena turned in a top-notch performance against the San Antonio BC at San Antonio Field. The result was a win for the Continentals, 5-1. In 5.2 innings, Mena surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run.
The Continentals took the lead, 2-1, in the top of the sixth. Jorge Alfiche had the clutch at-bat. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Chesapeake Continentals manager José Flores, "I like our chances."
