The Chesapeake Continentals went home winners at Rapiers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Dave Stephenson. Stephenson silenced the Durham Rapiers, enabling Chesapeake to grab the 6-1 win. In 7 innings, Stephenson surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The Continentals improve their record to 10-11 with the win over Durham.

Lionel McCloud helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring triple to give Chesapeake a 1-0 lead.
