Toby Kamin added some punch to the Irving offense, helping them outmuscle the Casper Ghosts, 8-7. In the game, Kamin, who is tied for 5th in the SAA with a .333 batting average, was 2 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Jim Unknown got credit for the save for Irving. It was his 1st of the year. The Irving Blue Sox keep rolling, raising their record to 12-5.
Kamin had a game-changing single in the bottom of the first. On a first pitch curveball from Wallace Elgie, he banged a 2-run single to center, giving the Blue Sox a 2-0 lead. It was the 22nd hit of the year for Kamin.
"I like winning," Kamin told the Irving News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
