The Bethesda Atoms racked up a win at Atoms Field, bumping off the San Antonio BC, 4-2. Phil Miller, who started for Bethesda, pitched effectively for his team. Yajirobei Otomo got the save, the 6th for him this season. San Antonio, at 4-12, is off to a poor start in 2026.
Beau Murphy was a key contributor to the win for the Atoms. In the bottom of the first with two out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to right. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said San Antonio skipper Juan Sánchez, "and it cost us."
