The Bethesda Atoms got a sterling performance from pitcher Jeren Kendall, but the Farmers still prevailed, 5-4. Kendall was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He came in in relief and pitched to 22 batters . Seishiro Sato, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4 innings. With the win, Lancaster boosts its record to 7-8.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the 16th, Luis Freitas had a chance to end it. Bethesda pitcher Pedro Aguilar had other ideas. But with two outs, Freitas hit a walk-off run-scoring triple. The Farmers had the walk-off win.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Jack Barnes, the Lancaster skipper.
