5 Straight Wins for Blue Sox
There was no shortage of dramatics at Blue Sox Ballpark today.

Gonzalo Montés never let the Lancaster Farmers find their groove. Throughout the game, Montés relied on his bread and butter, his fastball, in pitching the Blue Sox to a win. The win was credited to Martin Besnier in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kyle Lucas took the loss.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the 13th, Bryan Clifton had a chance to end it. Lancaster pitcher Kyle Lucas had other ideas. But with two outs, Clifton hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Blue Sox had the walk-off win.

"I believe in our guys," said Irving skipper John Parkinson. "I like the energy they're playing with."

Irving, now 9-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
