Sandoval has 3 hit night as BC Squeeze Past Chesapeake
|
Ismael Sandoval left his imprint on the 11-0 San Antonio win against the Chesapeake Continentals. Sandoval was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Adam Vaillancourt earned the win to go to 1-1. He allowed no earned runs on 2 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The BC, with just their 2nd win in 10 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Sandoval had a key at-bat for San Antonio early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave San Antonio an early 4-0 lead.
"We came out aggressive," said San Antonio BC manager Juan Sánchez. "We came out swinging the bats."
