Anbrosio Oppenes left his imprint on the 7-4 Casper win against the Durham Rapiers. Oppenes was 2-3 with a double. He scored 2 runs. Wallace Elgie got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Pompeyo Davalillo closed it out for his 1st save.
Erjan Kerstens contributed an important at-bat in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped send Casper to the win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Oppenes.
The Casper Ghosts, now 1-4, have not found much traction so far in 2026.
