The Durham Rapiers picked up a win at Rapiers Ballpark, knocking off the Chesapeake Continentals, 5-2. Starting pitcher Michael Logan, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Dave Seals picked up the save, his 1st. Durham, now 2-0, has played well in the early going.

Also making an impact was left fielder Jesús Morales, who drilled a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth for Durham. For the game, Morales was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Logan said.
