Phoenix's Lawson Will Miss Season Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 The doctors have spoken and Neil Lawson of the Phoenix Hotspur didn't like what he heard. The 30-year-old first baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lawson sustained his season-ending injury during the Toledo Titans game yesterday at Chase Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while being hit by a pitch. Today the Phoenix medical staff reported Lawson had a fractured finger and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 weeks. So far this season Lawson has put up a .299 batting average with 70 hits, 11 home runs and 42 RBIs. |
