Francisco Valdés put together a very solid month to take home the Silver League's top pitching honor in August. The 25-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 11 relief appearances he raked in 4 saves and 10 strikeouts in 14 innings as he put together his 4-0 record and 1.29 ERA. So far this season, Valdés has put up these stats: 40 relief appearances, 23 saves, 44.1 IP, 46 strikeouts, and 3.05 ERA. His won-lost record is 5-3, and the opposition is hitting .201 against him. |
