In a close game at Platform 9 3/4, the Austin Rangers edged the Wizarding Express, 5-4. Austin first baseman Jesús Reyes earned the nod as player of the game after he hit 2 home runs. Ernest Torres earned the win for Austin. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 6-2. At 42-43, the Rangers find themselves in 5th place in the Division II.

Reyes came through with some timely hitting for Austin. With the score 3-2 in the top of the sixth and no one down, Reyes hit a 1-0 cutter for a solo home run. It was his 29th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Rangers managed to win.
