Middies Fall to .500 After Loss to Cattlemen

Ft. Worth rode a fine outing from starter Bartolomeu Lio to victory over the Grafton Middies at The Cattle Pen. The final score was 2-1. Asher Spivey earned the save for Ft. Worth, his 5th. The Cattlemen improved to 37-47.
The Ft. Worth win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Jorge Rosa. In the bottom of the seventh, the Ft. Worth shortstop came to bat and hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Ft. Worth Cattlemen manager Scott Thompson, "I like our chances."
