Getting a good performance from third baseman António Martínez, the Wizarding Express defeated the New Amsterdam Republics, 11-4. Martínez went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Express. Wizarding reliever Francis Cahill picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Josef Strolz absorbed the loss. With the win, Wizarding has a record of 57-27. New Amsterdam falls to 27-57.
Rafael Arredondo broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the fifth with a run-scoring walk. It put the Express in front, 5-4. For the game, Arredondo was 1 for 3 with a triple and 2 walks.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Dan Cahill said.
