Fans who gathered at Pacesetter Park saw a good contest between the New Amsterdam Republics and Toledo Titans.
The New Amsterdam Republics relied on the hitting of right fielder John Burton to stop the Toledo Titans, 5-4. For the game, Burton went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. New Amsterdam is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Alfredo Suárez had the most critical at-bat for New Amsterdam, coming in the top of the tenth inning with two out and a runner on 3rd. Suárez hit a first pitch fastball from Brandeis Vogt for a run-scoring single. It put New Amsterdam in front, 5-4.
"I like how we battled to the end," said Suárez.
