Middies Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Grafton Middies starter Robbie Baxter turned in an exceptional performance against the New Amsterdam Republics at Field of the Middies, resulting in a Grafton win, 3-2. The win was credited to Truman Valentine in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Nick Richie took the loss. New Amsterdam is trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the 15th. On a pitch from Nick Richie, Wes Bradley drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It gave Grafton the 3-2 walk-off win.

In comments to the Grafton News, Bradley admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
