The Wizarding Express topped the Austin Rangers by the score of 7-5, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Nathan Tanner. Tanner was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Express. Wizarding's record now stands at 42-23, placing them third in the Division II.

The Express beat the Rangers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the single António Martínez produced in the top of the fifth. Batting against Austin pitcher Lester Sullivan, he gave his team a 3-2 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Wizarding manager Dan Cahill.
