Cattlemen Walk Off with 5-4 Win
The inspired effort of Houston first baseman Alberto Torres was not enough to prevent a 5-4 loss to the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Torres was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ft. Worth reliever Asher Spivey was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Tyler Rodríguez. Ft. Worth now sits in 7th place in the Division II at 27-37.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Ft. Worth designated hitter Joey Morgan, facing Tyler Rodríguez, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Cattlemen the 5-4 win.

"There's no quit in this team," said Ft. Worth Cattlemen manager Scott Thompson.
