Express Fall Short, 5-4, at Houston
|
The Wizarding Express got a superb performance from pitcher Todd Hines. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Houston. The 1837 BBC won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Hines was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The 1837 BBC own a robust 22-23 mark.
Had it not been for José Marín, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the 1837 BBC were trailing 3-2, Marín hit a bases-clearing double for Houston, giving his team the lead.
"We did enough to win," said Marín.
