Nathan Tanner did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Wizarding Express from losing, 7-4, to the Grafton Middies at Field of the Middies. Tanner was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Orlando De Jesús earned the win for Grafton. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. The Middies own a robust 18-19 mark.
Also producing for Grafton was third baseman Stefano Gaddi, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the second. For the game, Gaddi was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Gaddi called the triumph "a good team win."
