Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Express
|
The Wizarding Express beat the Chicago Gold Sox, 5-4, in 11 innings. Wizarding left fielder Nathan Tanner merited player of the game honors with his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Wizarding reliever Ming-jiang Wu picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Gordon Fry took the loss. The 'W' lifts Wizarding's record to 22-12.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Tanner hit a fastball from Gordon Fry for a solo home run. The Express, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This was a good win," said Tanner.
