The Chicago Gold Sox knocked off the Grafton Middies, 12-3, at Field of the Middies. Melvin Castro, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Chicago won. The right fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. At 10-19, the Gold Sox find themselves in 9th place in the Division II.

Scott Zijm contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Chicago get the win.
