Austin Wins, Yen goes 3-for-5
|
Yun Yen added some punch to the Austin offense, helping them outmuscle the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 12-9. In the game, Yen, who is tied for 2nd in the SL in doubles with 8, was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Katsuyoshi Takuda got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 4 innings. Austin's record now stands at 11-15, placing them 6th in the Division II.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the second, when Yen hit a grand slam. The Rangers went on to win.
