A nice crowd turned out to see the Wizarding Express and Phoenix Hotspur clash at Chase Field.
The Wizarding Express beat the Phoenix Hotspur, 21-4, at Chase Field. The Express got a fine performance from right fielder Rafael Arredondo, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. Losses have been few and far between for the Phoenix Hotspur so far this season. Their record drops to 10-5.
Tenshin Ichikawa broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the fourth with a run-scoring walk. It put the Express in front, 5-4. For the game, Ichikawa went 3-4 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Arredondo told the Wizarding Citizen: "I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more.' You win just by scoring more runs."
