Late Rally by Gold Sox Secures Win
|
The Chicago Gold Sox got a stellar performance from pitcher Sixto Palaeios, who handcuffed the Grafton offense en route to a 3-2 win at Gold Sox Field. Palaeios, now 2-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 1, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. The save went to Augusto Dávila, his 1st this season.
William Wise, who is tied for 3rd in the SL in triples with 1, aided the Chicago cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Palaeios after the game.
Chicago is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 13 games.
