Continentals Hang 1-0 Loss on Swallows
|
The Chesapeake Continentals got a magnificent performance from pitcher Francisco Sandoval, who muffled the Sun Prairie offense en route to a tight 1-0 Continentals win at Chesapeake Grounds. Luis Rodríguez finished to wrap up his 6th save. The 7th-place Continentals raised their record to 33-39.
Chesapeake took control in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Thomas Sherman hit a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Continentals.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Sherman said.
