Day has 5 RBI, Leads Cattlemen to Win
|
Getting a good performance from second baseman Robby Day, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the Phoenix Hotspur, 9-3. Day went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Cattlemen. Bartolomeu Lio got the win, improving to 11-10. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Today's win puts Ft. Worth at 49-59, while Phoenix falls to 71-37.
Day had a key at-bat for Ft. Worth early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and gave Ft. Worth an early 4-0 lead.
